EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN DESERVE EXCEPTIONAL THERAPISTS.... Our client is a public school system located in Kenbridge VA. This is a small rural town with great access to the mountains and the beach - 2.5 hours to either. Additionally the drive to Richmond VA or Raleigh NC is only 1.5 hours. We are searching for a speech therapist for a 9.5 month contract position to work with a caseload of 60 ranging from PreK - 12. The caseload consists mostly of students requiring language and articulation assistance although there are some autistic and more severe cases. The therapist will schedule his/her own caseload utilizing pullout and inclusion models. The school year begins on August 20th and runs through May 30th. This is a full time contract position for a school system offering great support and staff development. (Early release program to allow for staff development time.) Payrate - $33 and up depending on level of experience. Qualifications: Must hold a Masters Degree in either Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders; a current state license (or eligible) if applicable.
