EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN DESERVE EXCEPTIONAL THERAPISTS.... If you enjoy working with children and doing sensory integration youll love this job. Our client is a is a non-profit school and therapy center for ages 3 to 21 with special needs. They focus on the use of sensory integration as the primary therapeutic approach. 90% of the population has a diagnosis on the autism spectrum. A few have CP. Most have behavioral issues. Youll work in a collaborative environment with speech therapists music therapists and other professionals. There are three openings two in the school and one in the extended services clinic where youll see kids on an outpatient basis. These jobs are permanent direct employment. Youll have 217 work days a year -- 180 school days plus 37 days of summer program -- so youll have several weeks vacation each summer along with the typical school breaks in winter and spring. The salary range is $45 500 to $70 000 which is excellent for this schedule. If you prefer a contract position is available instead of direct employment. Qualifications: Must have an Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy and hold a current state license (or eligible). Strong new graduates are welcome.
