EXCEPTIONAL STUDENTS DESERVE EXCEPTIONAL THERAPISTS.... Full-time Speech-language Pathologist to provide individual and group therapy for children with autism and related disabilities. Our client is a small private day school currently serving 20 children in Manassas VA. The majority of the students are served in a 1:1 ratio with a few students receiving services in a 1:2 or 1:3 ratio. The program is tailored to each student based on individual strengths and needs with a focus on functional communication fostering independence and positive behavioral support. These services are enhanced by the availability of a Speech-language Pathologist Occupational Therapist and Behavior Specialist on site working with the students and staff within the classroom setting. Students do exhibit challenging behaviors. A successful candidate shall be licensed by the VA Board of Audiology and Speech Pathology OR hold a Masters degree in Speech-language Pathology and a valid VA postgraduate professional license with endorsement in Special Education Speech-language Disorders PreK-12 or qualify to obtain a VA license. CCC-SLP certification preferred however CFY is available. Experience with autism and/or special education preferred.
