EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN DESERVE EXCEPTIONAL THERAPISTS.... We are searching for a talented Occupational Therapist to work in a Childrens Rehabilitation Hospital located just outside Philadelphia across the border in New Jersey. Our client serves the physical rehabilitation needs of infants children and adolescents with family-centered care. The goal is to improve the health of the children they treat and help them reach their full functional potential while ensuring a smooth and successful reentry into the community. This hospital is staffed by a team of trained pediatric professionals which includes a pediatric rehabilitation physician (physiatrist) pediatric pulmonologist rehabilitation nurses respiratory therapists and trained pediatric therapists. The client population consists of children from birth to 20 with severe/profound disabilities with some mainstream cases. The OT will treat sensory integration disorders autism developmental delays neurological impairments CP traumatic brain injury general rehabilitation and upper extremity injury. All of the therapists are assigned to an area but will sometimes cross over to help out with coverage. We will consider a contract therapist or a temp to perm employment situation. Part time therapists will also be considered as long as he/she is available in the afternoon hours.
