EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN DESERVE EXCEPTIONAL THERAPISTS.... Our client is a hospital system in the Nassau Bay area of Houston TX. They seek an Occupational Therapist to join their team and serve pediatric patients on an outpatient basis full time days. OT will provide evaluation of patients goal setting plans treatment programs and treats patients according to physician’s orders; maintain required records and notes on patient care; performs quality assurance; assist the director in ongoing professional development of the departments and staff. The OT will also design and fabricate splints/orthoses and guide in the selection of therapeutic activities and modalities along with assistive devices and/or techniques to improve overall functional ADL independence. Performs other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education and Work Experience: Must be a graduate of an approved school of occupational therapy. License or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR) in the state of Texas. CPR certification. Membership in AOTA and TOTA preferred. Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to market our services and speak effectively before physicians groups of customers or associates of the organization. Ability to perform evaluations treatment plans treatment reassessments patient education and discharge summaries. Ability to organize support supervise and motivate staff manage conflicts and solve problems.
