Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Department Description: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit consists of 65-beds. In addition to conventional ventilation we have oscillator high frequency and nitric oxide capabilities. We care for all infants requiring intensive care including extremely premature infants and all surgical cases (except major open-heart surgery). Our transport team is available 24/7 by ground and air for any hospital requesting a transfer to our unit. Position Summary: Administers respiratory care to NICU patients as ordered by the attending physician. Conducts diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to therapy. Reports To: Manager/Charge Therapist Skills/Requirements Qualifications/Education/Licensure/Certifications/Experience: (Required/Preferred): --Sufficient college credits to qualify for registry exam or graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Program required. --Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Respiratory Therapist --Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). --Associates Degree in Respiratory Care (required) --Bachelors Degree in Respiratory Care (preferred) --BLS ACLS NRP PALS --Previous clinical experience in Respiratory Care services: Acute NICU SALARY: Above salary scale is a national projection so it will vary depending on location. Specific information will be provided upon preliminary screening with our client.
