Job Description
OUTPATIENT ORTHOPEDIC REHAB PRACTICE with two (2) well established locations in the Syracuse NY area since ???? The PHYSICAL THERAPIST will provide coverage as needed to both location . The TEAM ????? (Description) is made up of ??? Other PTs on staff will work autonomously (((( HOW MANY PT and PTAS ????))))))) There is a strong community referral base for future growth. * EQUIPMENT includes a 15 x 20 SIZE ???? aquatic pool for ???? PLEASE LIST ANY OTHER EQUIPMENT WHICH THE PT WOULD FIND INTERESTING AND USEFUL. * LOCATED in the Finger Lakes region of New York State near Lake Ontario and Lake Oneida. A short distance from Canada the St. Lawrence River the Adirondack Mountains. There is a large selection of year round sports which includes many snow skiing resorts as well as summer resorts. This metro area has 156k people living in the city and 456k in the county. An international airport with direct jet service to most major cities in the US. High quality education available. There is a large selection of inexpensively priced private schools. Some of the high schools both private and public are nationally renowned for their academics and sports programs. (Each student completes the ''NYS Regents Exam'' which is required of all schools). There many colleges and a large universities with Division One ranked football basketball & lacrosse teams. There is a rapidly expanding regional shopping mall located in the heart of the city. The region has many rolling hills and lakes. Moderate summer climate with average temperatures in the mid to high 70s. Seasonal climate changes are colorful. * COMPENSATION ranges from $52k for New Grads to 65k with ten or more years of experience. NEGOTIABLE * JOB type is Permanent/Retained Employee or Temporary to Permanent/Retained Employee Full-time or Part-time. * SHIFT/HOURS/CALL/ROTATION: Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm . The Practice will accommodate part-time Monday through Thursdays for hours worked to 6:30 pm. * CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATIONS/LICENSE/EDUCATION REQUIRED: New Grads are welcome to apply. NY PT license or applied. * JOB DESCRIPTION: * Review Physicians referral (prescription) and patients condition and medical records to determine physical therapy treatment required. * Test and measure patients strength motor development sensory perception functional capacity and respiratory and circulatory efficiency and records findings to develop or revise treatment programs. * Plan and prepare written treatment program based on evaluation of patient data. * Administer manual exercises to improve and maintain functions. * Instruct motivate and assist patient to perform various physical activities and in use of assistant and supportive devices such as crutches canes and prostheses. * Administer treatments involving application of physical agents. * Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefit. * Administers massage and traction to relieve pain. * Record treatment response and progress in patients chart or enters information into computer. * Instruct patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home. * Evaluate fit and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommend modification to Orthotist. * Confer with Physician and other practitioners to obtain additional patient information suggest revisions in treatment program and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of patients health care. * Orient instruct and direct work activities of assistants aides and students. * Plan and conduct lectures and training programs on physical therapy and related topics for medical staff students and community groups. * BENEFITS include : 1.) HEALTH INSURANCE available after 90 days of employment. Single $57.91 bi weekly contribution. Employee and Spouse contribution $661.35 Employee and child $481.84. Family $875.81. Contribution by employer is $185.00 per month. United Health CPA EPO. No dental. or vison included . Prescription co-pays $7.00 $30.00 and $50.00. Office co-pay is $25.00 2.) VACATION TIME accrues at 1 day per month. Accrue up to 10 days the first year of employment to a maximum of 14 days . Can use 3 days after 90 days of continuous employment. 3.) SICK / PERSONAL TIME available after 90 days of employment up to 40 hours. 4.) PAID HOLIDAYS: After 90 days of employment: 8 major holidays paid. 5.) RETIREMENT PLAN: 401-k with a 3% employer match. ( Eligible to join after 1 year. Fully vested after 6 years of employment) 6.) MALPRACTICE INSURANCE coverage is paid by Employer. 7.)
