This premier Colorado western slope hospital has an opening for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a team working in an outpatient environment. Therapist will join a dynamic team-work culture with a team of experienced 6 SLPs 9 OTs 12 PTs and 3 PTAs. The work environment is highly collaborative but autonomous and is under the direction of veteran leadership who support without micro-managing. Hospital has 6 pulmonologists and 4 neuro surgeons on staff as well as three physiatrists and a Physicians Assistant with speech background. As a regional hospital case load has a lot of variety. The Speech Department manages both pediatric and adult patients with a wide range of disorders. The department maintains a good collaborative relationship with the school district and other area providers. Simply put its an outstanding place to learn and grow and stretch clinical skills. RESPONSIBILITIES: Evaluate patients based on medical educational social and psychological factors and develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the patients needs and promote healing. Evaluate and treat a variety of pediatric disorders with an emphasis in Autism. Potential also exists to treat adults. The ideal applicant will succeed in this position by: 1. Meeting productivity expectations because they understand that in order for the department and hospital to be successful we have to be financially sound. QUALIFICATIONS: Masters Degree from an accredited program in Speech-Language Pathology and ASHA certification required . 1-2 years experience managing pediatric disorders preferred. Outstanding CFY candidates will be considered. SCHEDULE: Clinic is open M-F from 7 am to 6:30 pm and strives to allow as much flexibility as possible with clinicians setting up their schedule. herapists may build a schedule that compliments personal needs as long as needs of patients and the department are considered.
