Job Description
EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN DESERVE EXCEPTIONAL THERAPISTS.... Full time Physical Therapist with pediatric experience (roughly 8 hours per day) needed Monday through Friday (8-5) and scheduled at this time to work/be on call for the weekend of January 19 and 20. Population served is premature infants to 21 years of age - therapist must be competent in all age ranges. Needs BLS Provider Certificate. Caseload will vary: acute inpatient care where patients receive typically half-hour treatments and range from critical care in the NICU and PICU to rehab care following a new disabling event (typically treated twice per day m-F and once on Sat). Specialty care areas include cardiology pulmonology oncology ortho neuro infectious disease endocrinology (kidney transplants) rheumatology and intensive/critical care. I would prefer someone with NICU experience so they can treat those babies for us 1xper week. Therapist will also be doing some wound care per physician orders (typically abscesses and some minor burns). We use DAR documentation (Data Action Response) instead of SOAPE notes - this requires some training. Outpatient care will be primarily for but not limited to acute care orthopedics including evaluations and treatments for sportsmed CP Developmental delay post fracture musculoskeletal pain wound care toe walking muscle weakness; however there may be some chronic CP treatments that need to be performed (NDT training preferred). Outpatients are typically seen for 1 hour appointments. At this late date of a person arriving we will lack the time to truly train them to our paperwork protocols. So the traveler will probably be assigned for outpatient care and to assist in NICU 1 x per week if they have NICU experience. Pediatric therapy is our specialty - and our expertise is backed by excellent hourly rates and per diem offered based upon IRS eligibility. Additional benefits include: nationally recognized medical insurance 401K generous relocation and continuing education assistance optional paid leave reimbursement for state licensure and/or teacher certifications and completion bonuses. Our management team provides 24/7-telephone support to our therapists - you are not alone when you are on assignment with us. In addition we provide Clinical Coordinators to assist our therapists in managing their caseloads effectively. Our Clinical Coordinators are experienced therapists who have excelled within their profession and are able to help you succeed. Respond now and learn how YOU can be a part of our team! There is never a charge to applicants and new graduates are always encouraged to apply. ...BUILDING SELF-CONFIDENT CHILDREN...ONE PROFESSIONAL AT A TIME! keywords: MPT DPT Physical Therapist Physical Therapy pediatric traveler 78411 • JOB REFERENCE: Please make sure that Job#: 172950-JJ appears in the subject line of your email response. • BONUS/COMMISSION: The bonus/commission for this position includes: completion bonus • RELOCATION PREFERENCES: Client prefers to hire candidates that are located anywhere. • RELOCATION EXPENSES: Client is willing to pay relocation fee. • JOB DURATION: This job is scheduled to last 13 weeks. • BENEFITS: Client offers benefits with this position. • PAY RATE: The base Pay Rate for this position is between 35 and 45 hourly.
