EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN DESERVE EXCEPTIONAL THERAPISTS.... Our client is a public school system in need of a full-time contract SLP for the rest of the 07/08 school year. Woodland is a convenient commute from either Vancouver or Longview. Excellent hourly rates from $34/hr to $41/hr based on experience plus benefits. Youll have a caseload that includes grades 3 - 12 with primarily Articulation & Language needs SLD students a few with autism a few with MR. Youll schedule your own caseload using a pull-out model. Most of the caseload will be at the Intermediate School (grades 3-6) and youll travel to the middle and high schools which are 3 miles away. Youll only see a few students at the middle and high schools -- mostly collaboration with the Life Skills teacher who concentrates on improving communication skills on a natural everyday basis. Why work here? Youll have a very nice room that is centrally located at the Intermediate School and a laptop with a docking station and a laser printer. Assessment materials are up to date and youll have a wide variety of assessment choices. The school has a budget for supplies and materials and over $3 000 of therapy materials were purchased last year. Theres one other SLP that works at the Primary School and will be able to mentor you in this role as needed. The Special services department is a collaborative supportive group of people. The director is a SLP and is very supportive and understanding. All paperwork is generated by IEP On-Line and youll receive a full day of training on the software. Qualifications: Must hold a Masters Degree in either Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders; a current state license (or eligible). Pediatric therapy is our specialty - and our expertise is backed by excellent hourly rates and per diem offered based upon IRS eligibility.
