Job Description
The level II Physical Therapist is assigned advanced operational duties as clinical specialists, implementing established PT standards. Staff member will provide quality patient care through assessment, intervention, program planning, implementation, documentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient education. The incumbent will select, perform and interpret patient evaluation tests, developing appropriate goals and treatment plans. The staff member will perform the full range of established PT intervention techniques using current clinical knowledge. Duties also include mentoring staff, supervising the performance of the PT assistants, students, and Therapy Techs and providing clinical leadership and expertise to the department. Incumbents are expected to be active in pursuing professional growth and development and in contriubuting to the continuous improvement of the Rehab Services Department. Perform other duties as assigned. If assigned to work with infants and children aged 0 to 21, CCS paneling/approval will be required within one year of hire if qualified for CCS paneling requirement. Attend discharge planning meeting for children with discharge needs applicable to the discipline. Assures that the non CCS paneled therapist/Therapy Assistant and Rehab Tech will be supervised by a CCS paneled Therapist for the care provided to children aged 0 to 21. Participates in care coordination activities when children are being discharged with therapy and coordinates the transfer of care to CCS medical therapy unit in the school system as appropriate.

Job Requirements
-Graduation from an accredited school of Physical Therapy
-Licensure to practice as a Registered Physical Therapist issued by the State Board of Medical Quality Assurance
-Current BLS certification
-A minimum of 2 years experience working as a PT, with the ability to evaluate/treat patients in a minimum of 3 areas (i.e. CVA, SCI, TBI, Peds, Neonatal, burns, hand injuries, etc.)
