Job Description
Director of Respiratory Therapy, Oregon location, under the direction of President/CEO provides leadership and supervision to Respiratory Therapist. Ensures the stability and direction of personnel in providing the best patient care possible. Requires minimum AD, licensed in the state as a Resp. Therapist. Must have basic knowledge of all phases of respiratory therapy with a minimum education of 1-2 years. Prior management experience required, must be willing to obtain BLS within 30 days and NRP within 6 months of hire date. Must be capable of airway management, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy, general purpose of drugs used in respiratory therapy, endotracheal intubation, oxygen therapy, ABG drawing and interpretation, cleaning and maintenance of equipment, positive pressure therapy, volume ventilators and basic knowledge of pulmonary function, to provide direct patient care, appropriate to population of specialty. Must be self-motivated and enjoy working independently. The peers for this position are looking for a strong leader who can work within a team.
