Indiana Internal Medicine. This opportunity is a hospital employed position to provide a mix of outpatient and hospitalist services. This hybrid program was developed to provide 24/7 support for the hospitalist services. Call is 1 weekend in 7. The schedule is one physician at the hospital Monday - Friday, 7:30 to 5:00 rounding on patients who have been admitted to the service. A second physician is the admitting physician who works a 24 hour shift doing admissions and consults in the ED. The incoming physician needs to have a comfort level in working with high acuity patients and skilled in ventilator management.
