The Board of Medical Practice, hereafter referred to as "the Board", is charged with protecting the consumers of the Delaware healthcare system through the proper licensing and regulation of physicians and other heath care professionals. The Board is responsible for the licensing of doctors (MD & DO), physician's assistants, respiratory care practitioners and emergency medical technicians - paramedics. The Board investigates complaints, conducts hearings and imposes disciplinary sanctions for violation of the Delaware Code and/or the rules and regulations of the Board, when deemed necessary.
