Greeted geriatric patients and prepared them for medical examination by taking medical histories and recording vital signs, explained treatment procedures to patients and assisted the physicians during small procedures. Instructed patients about medications and special diets, prepared and administered medications as directed by the physicians, drew blood and performed electrocardiograms. Updated and filed patients medical records, filled out insurance forms, handled correspondence, and arranged for hospital admissions at Swedish Medical Center. Collected and prepared laboratory specimens and performed basic laboratory tests in the clinic. Authorized drug refills as directed, called in prescriptions to pharmacies, and kept examining rooms clean and organized.
