Objective

To lead and structure Information Systems teams to leverage existing and emerging technologies. Build a cohesive technical/operations staff with complimentary skill sets centered on a customer service focused approach. Provide ongoing education to existing and additional staff in order to further enhance the departmental skills matrix. 1992 – 2007	Catawba Valley Medical Center CSO/Director of IS
	Leadership of the Information Systems Division comprising of application development and support, voice and data network support, data center operations, telecommunications, and tactical & strategic planning for all facets of information technology. Direction of a 13 member IS staff. Creation of annual capital and operational budget of approximately $5 million. (Have never exceeded forecasted budget.) Moved into this position from Assistant Director of I/S in August 1996. Chairman/Coordinator of Hospital HIPAA Committee for development and ongoing compliance. Chief data Security Officer responsible for compliance with the Federal data security regulations for the enterprise. Chairman of the Information Steering Committee responsible for guidance and compliance with Strategic and Enterprise Business Plans. Vendor relationship and management. SLA creation and oversight. Outsourcing agreements and monitoring. Telecommunications management. Systems integration. One shift monthly as Hospital Administrator on Duty overseeing all hospital operations.
1989 – 1992	First Coast Systems (Now Keane) Senior programmer Research and Dev.
	AS400 RPG III environment. Expert in interface development and internal module integration. Managed all interface and integration work for previous employer. Design of one of first asynchronous interfaces (H/W and S/W) in the US to a non AS400 platform. During the slow software systems sales of 1990-1991 I managed to schedule, develop and install enough interfaces to carry the entire company payroll for a fiscal quarter.
