Objective

I am presently seeking new opportunities to enter the field of clinical research after being employed in molecular biology research by the pharmaceutical/healthcare and biomedical sector for the last 6+ years . I view this as a natural progression in my research career from the pre-clinical phase to the clinical phase, translating the lab discoveries of today into viable treatment options of tomorrow by helping regulate the process of bringing novel drugs and investigational new treatments into market. While I enjoy laboratory research work and am competent at it, the potential for career growth is limited. Clinical research, on the other hand, boasts wide-ranging possibilities for career development and progression. I am also seeking new challenges and feel that my background of having worked for a biopharmaceutical company and a research hospital will serve me well in making this transition to clinical research. Currently, I am also pursuing CRA Training via Medical Research Management (MRM), which is an ACPE (Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education) accredited organization that is one of the nationís leading providers of clinical research education and training. Upon securing a clinical research position, I plan to seek ACRP and/or SoCRA certification to fortify my knowledge base in this new field.
