2006 – present Data Design Associates
Director of IT

Oversee and manage all aspects of voice and data communications for Data Design Associates (DDA) and the sister company SembraCare. Provide support and solutions for DDA which revolve around IBM Z and I series platforms. Also provide support and solutions for data, voice and security for a software application under the ASP model. Current directions are upgrades to blade servers, VMWare servers for consolidation, restructure of BCP to include backup to disk, Exchange 2007 transition and iSCSI SAN deployment.

1999 – 2006 Mount Olive Pickle Company
Network Engineer

I maintaineded daily operations of the company network. Duties included design, planning, budgeting, procuring, implementing, administration, support and maintenance spanning the central campus area network and local area networks in two remote sites.
I developed, deployed and maintained standards for hardware and software involving workstations, servers, switches, routers, operating systems (desktop and servers) and base client applications.
I was responsible for integration of all aspects of information, including telecommunications, with the network. I deployed VOIP phone systems (AVAYA), SAN structure (EMC), BCP infrastructure (Legato & Veritas), hardware based remote access services and virtual private networking technologies to deliver more efficient and cost effective services. These services are used to provide integration and access to the remote and mobile workforce.
I further enhanced the infrastructure with a comprehensive indoor and outdoor wireless network focusing on coverage in the manufacturing environment. This network was designed to support and deliver voice services through Wi-Fi phones (AVAYA). Multiple data networks were supported and secured through redundant controllers.
I maintained network security utilizing a firewall for perimeter security and Microsoft Active Directory services, network administration and the Symantec Enterprise suite for internal security.
I assisted in the integration of an AS/400 and enterprise resource planning software with company network.
I interacted with all levels of personnel and management on an individual and team level to gather and provide information to make decisions and deliver solutions in a timely, productive and cost effective manner.

1996 – 1999 CDS Networks & Services
Field Engineer

Duties were to design, implement and support solutions using a methodology of listening and learning to the client. I provided efficient cost effective solutions to increase productivity and answer business problems. To accomplish this I provided hardware and software support for printers, workstations, servers, LANs and WANs. Software support centered on DOS and the Microsoft Windows family for the desktop environment and Novell versions 3.x through 4, SCO Unix, Microsoft Windows NT, Citrix and OS/400 for the server environment.

1997 – 1999 Interlink Communications
Sr. Engineer/ Consultant

I was charged with developing expanding, managing and delivering consulting services. I utilized the company standing as a premiere internet service provider to provide business options and solutions from the inside to the outside world. We designed, implemented and supported solutions using Novell, Microsoft, Citrix, OS/400 and SCO in LAN and WAN environments.
I created and managed a system for tracking service calls, billable and non-billable time, and maintenance contracts. I worked closely with the office manager in transferring and maintaining this information in the accounts receivable.
I managed the majority of procurement and worked with the office manager on maintaining the accounts payable.
I co-managed a staff of consultants, technicians and phone support personnel.
