Care for obstetric and gynecological patients in a private practice setting. Take patient histories and perform physical exams. Perform annual GYN exams. Prescribe contraception. Diagnose and treat vaginal complaints. Manage perimenopausal and menopausal health. Counsel and treat patients for abnormal vaginal bleeding. Interpret and counsel patients on bone density test results. Treat osteopenia and osteoporosis. Provide obstetrical care in normal pregnancies, and work collaboratively with the perinatologist in high-risk pregnancies. Maintain records on an electronic medical records system.

Provide preventative gynecological care. Diagnose and treat sexually transmitted infections. Prescribe contraception. Counsel and educate patients. Perform procedures, including Pap smears, IUD insertion and endometrial biopsies. Provide prenatal care for patients with normal pregnancies. Care for patients carrying high-risk pregnancies under supervision of the perinatologist. Manage patients on the labor and delivery floor. Evaluate pregnant patients who come to triage. Make appropriate referrals to other services. Maintain medical records on an electronic medical records system. Train medical students and physician assistant students during their obstetrics and gynecology rotations.

Conduct directed histories and physicals in order to evaluate and treat varicose veins and telangiectasias of the legs. Perform venous Doppler studies and sclerotherapy. Evaluate post-operative patients. Counsel patients regarding venous disease prevention and management.
