• Direct financial operations for 25 medical and other departments, manage a $500K in annual capital budget for all physician practices and ensure all spending remains within allotted budgetary limitations.
• Routinely conduct financial analyses, prepare P&L / volume statistical reports, and coordinate with management to make offers for new / renewed physicians’ contracts.
• Maintain detailed financial records for each physician’s practice including monitoring A/P and billing, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and participated in annual financial audits and SOX review.
• Completed a broad array of special projects for the Board of Directors, Sr. Management Team, and Physician staff per request such as compensation reviews, special audits, tax accuracy / verification, data gathering, and similar projects.
• Provide superior leadership, direction, and guidance for staff
• Spearheaded all aspects of operations management for the Physicians Services Department, managed $20M+ in practice receipts, forecast and established budgets, monitored budget performance, tracked P&L, and identified areas for improvement.
• Conducted data, cash/distribution and financial analyses for use in reports to senior management, contract negotiations, while simultaneously ensuring all physician contracts complied with applicable state and federal regulations.
• Developed financial dashboard to provide more accurate and efficient tracking of receivables for all practices; dashboard provided statistics at a glance, such as days in A/R net collection ratios, and similar stats that helped identify problem areas.
• Reduced A/R by 15+ days by indentifying problem areas, escalating those issues so they were noticeable and dealt with on an immediate basis, and setting a policy to move claims to a collection agency that met certain criteria.
• Reports directly to the VP of Physician Services
• Promoted to Assistant Director of Physicians Services from Manager July 2007
