Objective

I am submitting a resume for your review with a desire to join your supply chain operations. I have been in the supply chain field for 9 years, including my military experiences. I have gained valuable experiences in logistics and supply chain, first as an Operations Officer in the ARMY, then as a Shipping Manager for Lowe’s, and lastly as a Buyer Planner for Sandvik Medical Solutions and IPS Corporation.

At Sandvik Medical Solutions, I was responsible for the flow of the implant line from receiving through the sale and shipment of finished product. I have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge with hands-on experience in receiving, material deployment, selling and shipping.

I am well on my way to attaining my APICS certification. With two modules completed (Basics of Supply Chain and Strategic Management of Resources). I am also currently enrolled and pursuing CPSM certification as well as enrolled in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Course.

While working in the logistical field in many different roles for 9 years, I have learned some valuable and powerful life lessons. The most important lesson, I feel I learned, is being to hear the voice of the customer. This voice includes what they say and what they don’t say. The second is the role of communication in success. When communication is effective among co-workers, management, and the customer, continuous improvement is achievable.

However, the most important lesson that I have learned is this: The success of any organization depends on the most important asset at the company - the people. 	Buyer Planner for all raw materials, packaging, and MRO supplies for casting operations within IPS Corporation. Responsible for the procurement of vendor packaged goods stored for DC operations for customer orders. Responsible for over 4 million dollars in inventory. Responsible for monitoring and reducing inventory within DC and manufacturing operations.
2009 – 2011	Sandvik Medical Solutions Implant Buyer Planner	Memphis, TN
	Buyer/Planner responsible for a 32 million dollar order book, including 85k of inventory. Accountable for the scheduling and procuring of all material for spinal and knee implants in a cost efficient manner. Responsible for all receiving and shipping for implant operations at the Memphis facility. Monitor productivity and capacity of implant operations in accordance to customer need.

1999 – 2005	USAR Officer
	Assistant Operations Officer assigned to the XVIII Airborne Corps with a worldwide contingency mission. Responsible for assisting with all training, operations, and readiness matters for a Headquarters Battery (107 personnel), a Direct Support Maintenance Company, and 5 Patriot Firing Batteries (800 personnel). Prepared operational assessments and recommended courses of action based on the commander’s guidance in all areas of air and middle defense design. Assisted in the direction of all tactical decisions of five Patriot firing batteries providing an air and missile defense umbrella for both static and maneuver assets.
