As a Certified Nursing Assistant I was responsible for monitorng my patients blood pressure, blood glucose, input and output, EKG's, and other testing according to the physicians order. I assisted with any personal hygiene tasks as they were needed. I am cross trained as a unit secretary and a telemetry monitor technician. I have also spent significant time in an internal medicine and infectious disease practice where I triaged patients, scheduled appointments and tests, and worked with patients and their insurance companies to ensure coverage of their care.

Provided direct care to residents in the dementia unit. Worked closely with the residents, and encouraged as much independence as possible for matters of daily living. Gave instruction and assistance with range of motion exercises to increase or maintain mobility.

Provided care in the dementia unit. Along with assisting residents with activities of daily living, I took on the role of organizing the evening activity after dinner. We would take garden walks, have sing a longs, play games, have movie and popcorn nights and the residents always enjoyed root beer float socials.

Provided in home care to clients ensuring independent living according to the clients need. Duties included assistance with personal hygiene, arranging doctor and recreational appointments, assisted with medications, and providing instruction and encouragement to the client to perform basic living skills.
