Public Health Nurse Surveyor

Survey of hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers per State and Federal guidelines. In-house processing of complaints, including prioritizing, assignment to appropriate surveyor, areas to examine, closing out and computer entry. Review of plan of corrections. Extensive travel involved.

1997 – 2004 Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning
Welfare Nurse Consultant

Review of Pre-Admission Screening, Form 450B and medical waivers including
Medically Fragile Children, and Traumatic Brain Injury for nursing facility level of care. Develop policy and procedures, assisted in developing software for PAS automation. Perform statewide training for NF staff to process Form 450B. Training of new staff for OMPP, Case Managers for Area Agencies on Aging, and independent contractors.
