To continue my experience and training/education in Radiation Therapy and/or Radiology as a Director/Manager. If required, I plan to assume the position of Chief/Lead Therapist with the objective to move into management role when available.

Radiation Therapist II

Position: Radiation Therapist II (Full-Time)
Equipment: Siemens Primus, Varian 21iX, Varian 6/100, Siemens MD; Kermath, Siemens and Toshiba simulators

ï Staff therapist performing daily treatment delivery, simulation, fabrication of blocking devices and QA testing.
ï Performed procedures using Mosaiq and Access (IMPAC) Record and Verify system.
ï Trained in Stereotactic localization and treatment.
ï Supervision and training of student therapists.
ï Documentation of Linear Accelerator use with computer, manual and chartless methods. Prior experience as float therapist trained in the operation of multiple company Linear Accelerators.

ï Performed all diagnostic procedures to include routine, fluoro, trauma and surgery procedures.
ï Managed all department activities, budgets, and regulatory compliance for the following services: Radiology, Mammography, Ultrasound, MRI, Cat Scan, Nuclear Medicine and Cath Lab.

ï Completely redesigned department floor plans, purchased and replaced all Medical Imaging services.
ï Started new services to include Cath Lab and Sleep Lab. Wrote bid specs, capital requests and integrated new computer PACS system Radiology department services and ancillary modalities.
ï Responsible for all CPT coding, charge reconciliation and appropriateness activities.
ï Served on Radiation Safety Committee for Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.
ï Supervised 15 Radiologic Technologists to ensure proper diagnostic procedures, documentation, patient radiation protection practices and administration of prescribed isotopes or contrast media.
ï Wrote and maintained quality control protocols to comply with NRC, JCAHO, ACR and hospital standards. Successfully completed two JCAHO surveys, no recommendations for change.
ï Developed new cost containment measures for film purchases, inventory reduction, maintenance and service contracts, reduction in paperwork and preferred vendor utilization.
