-Nurture and care for children birth to age 10 or 12, tending to their early education, nutrition, health, and other needs.
- Organize activities that stimulate children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social growth
- Help children explore individual interests, develop talents and independence, build self-esteem, and learn how to get along with others.
-Prepare daily and long-term schedules of activities that include field trips, learning about computers, painting and participation in sports.
-Maintain contact with parents through informal meetings to disscuss each child's progress and needs.
-Watch for children wo shows signs of emotional or developmental problems.
-Work alone with a small group of children as well as in larger settings with multiple adults.
-Serve nutritious meals and snacks and teach good eating habits and personal hygiene.
-Take children to school in the morning and pick them up from school in the afternoon and help with their homework
-ensure children have proper rest periods.

I obtained my degree in Communication Disorders. The courses I completed for my major were phonetics,speech and hearing language development, anatomy and physiology of the vocal mechinism, introduction to communication disorders, language disorders, phonological disorders, fundamentals of audiology, science of sound, management for individuals with hearing impairement, neurogenic communication disorders, speech science,and written language disorders.
